Sudhir Shivaram, born in 1972 in Hassan, Karnataka, India, is a renowned wildlife photographer celebrated for his evocative images and dedication to environmental conservation. His passion for photography ignited during his engineering studies at Malnad College of Engineering in Hassan, where he frequently embarked on treks into the Western Ghats.


After earning his degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Sudhir pursued a career in the IT industry, working with companies like Hewlett-Packard and APC. Despite his professional commitments, his enthusiasm for wildlife photography remained unwavering. In 2014, he transitioned to full-time photography mentorship, focusing on educating aspiring photo

Sudhir's work has garnered significant recognition. He was honored as Sanctuary Asia's "Wildlife Photographer of the Year" in 2012. Additionally, a cover featuring his photograph for National Geographic Traveler India's September 2013 issue won the Yellow Border Award at the 2014 Worldwide Editorial Awards in Washington D.C., distinguishing it as the best cover among 14 language editions globally.



Beyond his photography, Sudhir is a fervent advocate for wildlife conservation. He co-founded India Nature Watch, a non-profit photo-sharing platform aimed at promoting nature appreciation and conservation. He also served as a brand ambassador for Canon India and has been associated with Sony as an Alpha Ambassador.


Through his lens and educational initiatives, Sudhir Shivaram continues to inspire a deeper understanding and respect for the natural world.
